Job Summary

This position is responsible for timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as providing support for other accounting activities as needed.

Essential Functions

Typical functions of the Accounting Clerk job include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly invoices for various client and contract types.
  • Track accounts receivable, identify past due accounts, and follow-up with clients as needed.
  • Manage accounts payable function from entering vendor invoices to processing payments.
  • Initiate new projects and budgets in Deltek.
  • Process employee expense reimbursements.
  • Monthly company credit card reconciliation.
  • Provide accounting support for month-end activities and annual financial audit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Credentials

Candidates for this position will be assessed based upon these attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum education Associate’s Degree
  • Minimum of two years related experience required, A/E industry preferred
  • Experience with federal and state contracting agencies strongly preferred
  • Experience with Deltek software strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and remotely (if required)

FLSA Status

  • The Accounting Clerk position is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Reporting
  • The Accounting Clerk reports to the Director of Finance
